Questions

Common warranty questions

When does my warranty start?
Coverage begins on the later of: the date of installation, or the date your commercial location opens. So if your store isn't open yet when we install, you don't lose time on your warranty clock.
What does Labor Protection actually cover?
If a covered defect requires a service call within the first year, labor protection means we come out and fix it at no charge โ€” no trip fee, no labor invoice. Without it, parts are covered but you pay for the service visit. At $200 per shutter, most owners add it.
Can I add warranty coverage after my install?
No. Labor protection must be purchased at the time of your install. Once the job is done, this option is no longer available.
What happens if someone else services my shutter?
If a shutter is altered or serviced by anyone other than the original authorized installer, the warranty is voided. If you need service, call us first.
Does warranty cover a break-in or vandalism?
No โ€” warranty covers manufacturing defects, not physical damage from forced entry or vandalism. For break-in damage, call us for emergency repair. That's a separate service.
My store is near the coast. Does that affect coverage?
Yes. If you're within 10 miles of the beachfront or a sheltered bay, the manufacturer's coastal maintenance requirements apply. This includes cleaning twice annually and operating the shutter twice monthly. Failure to follow these steps can void finish coverage in coastal areas.
