Scissor Gates
The right fit for wide openings, low-clearance entries, and large commercial spans where rolling shutters aren't practical. Scissor gates fold flat when open and lock solid when closed – securing openings from 4 feet to well over 20 feet wide.

Built for wide openings and low clearance.
When a rolling shutter isn't wide enough – or when you have no room for an overhead drum – a scissor gate is the answer.
Covers extra-wide openings
Available in single or pair configurations. Designed for spans well beyond what a standard shutter can cover – loading docks, warehouse entries, and wide storefronts.
Folds flat when not in use
Collapses to one side (or both sides for a pair) so your opening is completely clear during business hours. No overhead housing taking up space.
No overhead drum needed
Wall-mounted installation means no ceiling housing required. Ideal for entries with low soffits, HVAC clearance issues, or exposed ceilings.
Top and bottom track options
Add a top track, bottom track, or both for extra rigidity and security. Tracked installation helps prevent lifting or prying.
Flexible mounting
Post-mounted, jamb-mounted, or face-mounted depending on your opening type and structural conditions. Jessie measures on-site to determine the right fit.
Custom-built to your opening
Every gate is sized to your exact measurements. Single or pair configuration, with your choice of locking hardware and finish.
The right solution for these openings.
Scissor gates aren't for every situation – but for the right opening, nothing else comes close.
Warehouses & Loading Docks
Large bay doors that need to stay fully open during the day and completely secured at night. Scissor gates fold flat and lock solid.
Wide Retail Storefronts
Multi-unit retail entries, strip mall corridors, and wide-bay stores where a single shutter isn't wide enough to cover the opening.
Parking Structures & Garages
Gated entry control for parking facilities and private garages. Durable enough to handle daily open/close cycles for years.
Building Corridors & Lobbies
After-hours security for shared building entrances, elevator lobbies, and interior hallways without permanent wall modification.
Back-of-House & Storage Access
Secure wide utility entries, storage corridors, and back-of-house openings that standard shutters can't reach.
Low-Clearance Entries
Where overhead shutter drums don't fit. Wall-mounted scissor gates need no ceiling housing – ideal for entries with low soffits or tight overhead space.
How do scissor gates compare?
The right product depends on your opening. Here's how scissor gates stack up for wide or low-clearance situations.
Excellent for standard openings up to about 20 feet. Requires overhead drum housing – not viable for low-clearance or very wide entries.
Folds to one or both sides. Good for moderate widths but requires significant wall space for the folded stack.
Spans well beyond 20 feet. Wall-mounted with no ceiling drum. Folds flat when open, locks solid when closed. The right choice for very large or low-clearance entries.
